My tenure at the Kennedy Center spanned two positions; in the first, I was responsible for managing the lifecycle of major foundation grant applications, and in the second, I worked beside the Vice President of Development to assist in managing the department, coordinate fundraising activities and service major donors.

  • Acted as office manager for 50-person department
  • Prioritized and scheduled meetings, phone calls and other requests for the VP of Development
  • Developed positive relationships with donors of all levels, researched potential and current donors
  • Drafted memos, letters, presentations and other correspondence under VP’s name
  • Produced eight page, bi-monthly newsletter
  • Wrote and assembled grants and funding applications for amounts ranging from $5,000 to $250,000
  • Developed relationships with representatives from donor organizations and responded to requests for reports and updates
  • Regularly created and edited reports on budgetary status of programs
  • Maintained application and reporting deadline database
